Terms of Service

Last updated 15 August 2026

seemyfriends is in early beta. Features will change, things will occasionally break, and suggested times may be wrong. Do not rely on it as your only record of a commitment.

1. Who we are

seemyfriends ("we", "us") is operated from Canada by Chris Whitmore. By using the service you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for what happens through your account and for keeping access to your phone number and email secure.

3. What the service does

We suggest times when you and a person you have connected with are both available, and notify you both. We do not book venues, arrange transport, or guarantee that anyone shows up. Meeting people is between you and them.

4. Connecting with people

Connections are mutual: both people must agree. Only invite people you actually know and who would want to hear from you. We may suspend accounts that send unwanted invitations.

5. Calendars

If you connect a calendar, you authorize us to read your free/busy times and to create, update, and remove events that this service itself created. We do not access event contents, and we cannot modify events we did not create. You can disconnect at any time from your calendar provider's settings or from us.

6. Agents and assistants

You may authorize an AI agent to act for you, or use the assistant we provide. Actions taken by an agent you authorized are your actions. If your agent accepts a plan, you have accepted it. You set the limits on what an agent may commit you to, and you can revoke access at any time.

Our assistant can make mistakes. Check anything that matters before relying on it.

7. Text messages

Text messaging is governed by the SMS Terms. Standard message and data rates may apply.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

The second point matters more here than in most services. seemyfriends is built so that availability cannot be read across a connection, and deliberately attempting to defeat that is a serious violation. We may suspend or remove accounts without notice.

9. Your content

What you tell us stays yours. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service for you — storing your messages, learning your preferences, and suggesting plans. Nothing more.

10. Availability and changes

The service is provided as-is and may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued at any time. During beta this should be expected rather than assumed away.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, we provide the service without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that suggestions will be suitable, that messages will arrive on time, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed plans, missed messages, or anything arising from meetings arranged through the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Ending it

You may stop at any time by replying STOP or emailing us; we will delete your information as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Manitoba have jurisdiction.
